MIDI Noodle · Note Sequencer
A bass line that knows the chords.
Write a line once. The Note Sequencer plays it on your synth, in the patch key, and moves with every chord change.
A piano roll, not just a row of steps
Put any note on any step, hold notes across several steps, or stack a few on one step. With Scale lock on, the grid shows only the notes of the key, so there are no wrong notes to hit. Fold hides the rows you aren't using.
Mono plays one note at a time with ties and accents, the way a classic bass synth does.
Bass, Melody or One-shots
Start from a role. Each one sets Mono, Scale lock and the octave to suit it, and comes with its own presets. Everything can be changed after.
Bass
Root Pulse, Root & Fifth, Octave Disco, Offbeat House, Rolling Techno, Acid, Funk, Walking, Reggae, Synthwave, Dub.
Melody
Rising Arpeggio, Held Chords, Call & Response.
One-shots
Bells, Last Hit, Bell Fifths: a hit or two per loop.
Your own
Save a line as a preset and it's there in every project, in whatever key you're in.
Follows the chords
Drag a harmony cable from a Chord Sequencer's diamond to the Note Sequencer and it follows the changes. Shift moves the whole line with each chord; Tones plays the grid on the chord's own notes.
Change the progression and the bass follows, with no notes to rewrite.
