MIDI Noodle
Privacy Policy

MIDI Noodle routes and plays MIDI on your Mac. It does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not sell or share your data with third parties.
Your MIDI and your projects
The MIDI you play, your routes, sequencer patterns and projects never leave your Mac unless you send them somewhere yourself. Projects are ordinary files saved where you choose, and your devices and settings are stored locally on your Mac.
MIDI Untangle cable plans sync through iCloud if you have iCloud enabled. This data is governed by Apple's iCloud terms and privacy policy, not by Codeloop.
Local network
MIDI Noodle asks for access to your local network so it can find other Macs, iPhones and iPads sharing MIDI. Network MIDI goes directly between your devices; it is never sent to Codeloop or any other server.
Anonymous analytics
MIDI Noodle uses Aptabase, hosted in the EU, to count anonymous app launches. Each launch sends the app version and build, how many times the app has been opened, and whether it's a first launch, along with basic system details Aptabase adds to every event, such as the macOS version and language. This helps us see how many people use the app and which versions are in use.
No account, device identifier, name or email is attached, and nothing about your gear, routes or music is sent. The data can't be linked to you and isn't used for tracking or advertising.
In-app purchases
MIDI Noodle offers an optional one-time in-app purchase, MIDI Noodle Pro. Purchases are processed by Apple through the Mac App Store. Codeloop does not receive or store your payment information.
Launch emails
If you sign up on our website to hear when MIDI Noodle launches, your email address is handled as described in our website privacy policy. The app itself never asks for your email.
Third-party services
MIDI Noodle does not integrate with advertising networks or social media platforms. The only third-party service the app uses is Aptabase for anonymous analytics, as described above.
Children
MIDI Noodle does not knowingly collect any information from children. Because no personal data is collected, the app is safe for users of any age.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date, and significant changes will be mentioned in the App Store update notes.
