MIDI Noodle · Tempo & sync
One tempo for the whole rack.
Let the Mac lead and send clock to every box, or follow your drum machine and keep MIDI Noodle's sequencers in time with it. Either way, everything starts on the same beat.
The Mac leads
Set a tempo from 20 to 300 BPM, or tap it in. Pick which outputs get clock and start/stop, and your drum machines, arpeggiators and delays lock to it.
Swing lives here too: from straight to the hardest shuffle, for MIDI Noodle's drum and note sequencers and the arpeggiator.
Or it follows
Point the transport at an input that sends clock, like an MPC, a drum machine or a DAW, and MIDI Noodle's sequencers start, stop and keep time with it.
Pressing Play and Stop in MIDI Noodle can start and stop the leader too, in whatever way it understands.
Play and Stop reach the leader
Each kind of leader listens for something different. MIDI Noodle sends the right one, so you can drive the whole setup from either side.
Set up by wizard
Three wizards cover the usual setups, and each one switches off a second clock going into a follower, so its tempo doesn't jump.
Sync tempo
One device leads the tempo; the others follow its clock.
Sync with a DAW
Follow Logic or Ableton's tempo and transport, or have them follow MIDI Noodle.
Sequencer drives the rack
A groovebox plays your synths on their channels and leads the tempo.
Steady clock
Clock that arrives in bursts, like over Wi-Fi, is evened out into steady ticks.
