Tiny Instrument · Practice
Practice with a plan.
Tell Tiny Instrument what a good session looks like and it handles the rest. Scale and chord practice can now finish for you when you reach a goal, and a weekly schedule spreads your practice time across every part of the app, right down to a recurring event on your calendar.
Get Tiny Instrument ↗Practice with a goal
Scale and chord practice used to run until you stopped it. Now you can choose what done means before you start. A progress bar tracks you as you play, and reaching the goal ends the session with a suggested next step. Prefer the old way? Leave the goal off and practice open-ended.
Clean laps
Finish after a set number of clean runs through the scale or chord.
Minutes
Practice for a few focused minutes, then stop.
Accuracy
Keep going until you reach a target accuracy.
Tempo
Reach a target tempo, with an accuracy gate so speed never beats precision.
Plan your week
Set your practice days, a reminder time, and how long you want to spend in each area: Learn, Listen, Practice, Play, and Compose. Your daily goal becomes the total of those areas.
Practice days
Pick the days of the week you want to practice.
Reminder time
A gentle reminder at the time you choose.
Time per area
Split your daily goal across Learn, Listen, Practice, Play, and Compose.
Today's Plan, at a glance
A Today's Plan card shows how you're doing in each area, so you can see what's left before the day is done.
On your calendar
Add the whole plan to your calendar as a recurring event, so your practice sessions show up alongside your other plans. Tiny Instrument only asks to add events. It never reads your calendar. Find it all in Settings, Progress & Notifications, Practice schedule.
